For those reading these comments who may not have known Zlata well I just want to give you a small sense of the impact that she made on so many. Together with Karen Cohen she created and ran the Mikvah in Potomac and because of all she did hundreds of women who may otherwise not have shlepped to another mikvah - quite a distance away - were able to take on and do this Mitzvah properly. And she greeted everyone with a smile and made everyone who came feel good.(no matter how late the hour)
She was also the Director of the very large community preschool - not Chabad- for many many years (25+believe). In that capacity she created a huge Kiddush Lubavitch as for many it was their first real encounter with someone from Chabad. Only Hashem knows what that first positive interaction led to. She knew the lives of all the families and felt for them with genuine compassion. She also really seemed to appreciate and know every child. A number of my children went through her preschool and truly loved "Morah Zlata" and felt loved in return. So too the teachers, most of whom remained in the school, working for her for 15+ years. They felt like family and are devestated by this loss.
She will be greatly missed.
Bs"d Please share your thoughts about Zlata. Please write how she touched your life. Please express how she touches your life forever. Please share what she means to you. Please share for the sake of us all. There is so much to say. So much joy, laughter, and love. So much care, devotion, and guidance. Please share. And Hashem please hear... And end this golus NOW!!!
